The 9th Edition Codex Updates weren’t evenly applied. Games Workshop slaps some Armies in the face while giving handouts to others. Read the top 5 takeaways from today’s updates on Warhammer Community.

Top 5 Takeaways

First, Chaos Space Marines & Grey Knights don’t get an extra wound. In the words of my friend that plays Imperial Guard, “They’re still 1 wound losers like me.” Live and let die at 1 wound each for now.

Secondly, Death Watch is a completely different army. All their equipment functions differently. For example, Storm Bolters currently don’t have Special Issue Ammunition. On top of that, it’s not even an option for Deathwatch to take!

Consider Deathwatch for exterminating New Necron Armies

Grey Knights weapons aren’t updated so the Nemesis Force Sword still doesn’t boost your strength.

Harlequins can move through terrain as a full movement. If they want to end up on top of the terrain they have to measure their vertical distance as the movement.

Hope for more 9th Edition Codex Updates

Orks, Tyranids, and Daemons didn’t get an update… This could be a sign that they’re the next set of codexes to come out… We’ll have to wait and see, but as a Chaos player with a sucky Space Marine update, I’m excited if the next codex is a boost for Daemons!

Of course, Forgeworld updates are still missing but they may be waiting for their big index drop.
