Psychic Awakening has a lot of secrets that still need to be shared but we’ve got a pretty good one to satiate us for today. It’s a look at the new Howling Banshee Exarch.
First off the model is quite the step up from the old finecast ones. Using a more dynamic pose and looking incredible with the pair of mirrorswords. But a cool model isn’t all the Exarch is getting is Psychic Awakening. They will get a set of six Exarch powers that can be swapped out with War Shout.
Piercing Strike is great if you need to put the hurt on some high damage units. This gives Banshees much more utility as an aspect. But there also is a new stratagem for the Banshees with Phoenix Awakening as well.
This stratagem allows you to get the most out of your Howling Banshees. Making them a much more powerful unit than they already were. But there’s one last secret that the Exarch has to offer.
A Maskless Exarch for an Ynnari army. This is crazy, being able to see an aspect warriors face for the first time. Plus we get a good look at the executioner option for the Exarch which looks awesome. And finally we have a prophecy for the Aeldari at large:
Pretty daunting stuff, it looks like Psychic Awakening could be the Aeldari’s final battle or their greatest moment of triumph. Either way we cannot wait to see it play out at the game table.
