The NOVA Open, one of the largest wargaming conventions and tournaments in the world, is kicking into high gear! Fans are flocking to the event, hoping to see all of the latest and greatest releases that they’ll be putting on the wishlists!
We’re bringing you a new series breaking down each of the major releases! Be sure to check them all out, and let us know which one is your favorite!
In this article, we’ll be looking at the imminent release of the next season of Warhammer Underworlds, now known as Nightvault!
In the previous entry into the series, Shadespire, players raced to build fearsome warbands for grisly life-or-death gladiatorial matches! Once you enter Shadespsire, there is no way to leave other than killing your way out, and only the most powerful units and strongest support cards can let the player make it out alive!
In Nightvault, things have taken a turn for the worse (if that’s even possible!) As more and more warriors descend on Shadespire in search of the ultimate glory, the Great Necromancer Nagash has opened the Nightvault, a grotesque prison and asylum used for the most unspeakable experiments in galactic history.
But, here’s the thing…
The Nightvault wasn’t empty. And now that it’s open, the entire planet is at risk of total destruction!
With eight new warbands making their appearance, and an all-new set of dynamic magical abilities for use by sorcerers, even the most seasoned adventurers of Shadespire will find something they never expected in the newest release!
There is no word yet on a specific release date, but most fans are betting on an early 2019 delivery. If you haven’t played the Underworlds series yet, now is the perfect time to pick up Shadespire and prepare yourself for when the Nightvault releases its horrors onto the world!
