It’s another day of magical madness at Nights At The game Table, and we’ve paired with the fantastic staff at Pat’s Games to give you another epic battle! This week, Joel and Tad are facing off with two tricky new decks, and it will take all of their experience and expertise to come out on top!

Joel: Hardened Scales Infinity

Right off the bat, Joel is going for his opponent’s throat through Inkmoth Nexus, a powerful land which can morph into a Blinkmoth creature with the infect ability. As long as it’s on the field, Joel’s opponent will have to fend off the constant threat of poison attacks! To make matters worse, Joel will also be swinging into battle with a one-two punch of Arcbound Ravager and Hardened scales. Not only will hardened scales double the counters put on Arcbound Ravager, but a quick sacrifice to another Arcbound Ravager (combined with its modular ability) can mean that Joel will have an extremely powerful creature on the field in short order.

Tad: Arclight Phoenix

Tad’s deck is a versatile performer that takes care of one of Red’s traditional weaknesses: poor draw power. Between Bedlam Leveler’s ability to let the player draw 3 cards, and faithless looting allowing for both draw power and graveyard placement (ideal for cards such as Arclight Phoenix), Tad should have a number of ways to get around the draw issues that have plagued Red in the past. In addition, the ease of which Faithless looting allows cards to be moved to the graveyard, and the abundance of cheap burn spells in Tad’s deck, means tht he will likely be able to cast Bedlam Reveler for next to nothing!

Tad’s full decklist includes:
