It’s another Magic Monday here at the NATGT office, and we’re once-again pairing up with the expert staff at Pat’s Games to bring you some all-new Magic: The Gathering decks upgraded with the latest M19 cards! This week, we’ve got an R/G Deck featuring Sarkhan’s Unsealing and Vine Mare going head-to-head with a Grixis deck featuring Nicol Bolas, The Ravager and Sarkhan, Fireblood!
We’ve also got Morgan and Charles from last week returning for a rematch, with Charles hoping to avenge his defeat at Morgan’s hands. As always, we have deck-building expert Aryeh Wiznitzer commentating on all the action, with our very own Kevin O’Connor returning to provide his own takes on the evolution of Magic since his days of playing back in the 90s!

Morgan:

This week, Morgan is piloting an R/G deck that’s based around Sarkhan’s Unsealing and Vine Mare. Both of these M19 cards will be adding some powerful new effects for Morgan’s deck. With Vine Mare’s high strength and Hexproof Status, it should prove to be a strong offensive force as it crushes smaller opponents under its hooves. When combined with Sarkhan’s Unsealing and its ability to inflict damage when creature spells are cast, Morgan may very well be able to overwhelm Charles’ defenses. And even if that doesn’t prove to be enough, Vivien Reid will be waiting in the wings of his sideboard, ready to buff up his creatures to nearly unstoppable levels in the 2nd game.

Morgan’s full deck list includes:

Charles

Charles is charging into battle with a Grixis deck built around Nicol Bolas, the Ravager and Sarkhan, Fireblood, a formidable creature and planeswalker from the newest M19 release! Not only is Niko Bolas a fairly powerful flying creature in his own right, but his Sacrifice ability allows him to return as the Legendary Planeswalker Nicol Bolas, The Arisen! In his Planeswalker form, Nicol can allow the Charles to draw card, inflict damage, resurrect creatures from the graveyard, or even chew through his opponent’s library!
If that wasn’t bad enough, Charles’ other main card, Sarkhan Fireblood, allows him to flood the field with FOUR 5/5 Dragon tokens, providing a match for all but the most powerful creatures. So even if Morgan can keep his library intact, he’ll still have to think fast to keep Charles from burning him to a crisp!

Charles’ full deck list consists of:
