Todays batrep has newcomer Josiah’s Astra Militarum going up against Kevin’s Orks! Will Josiah’s brave guardsman be able to old back the greenskin menace, or will Kevin’s savage Orks bring their untimely demise? Why don’t we take a closer look at their lists and see what their working with.

Josiah is bringing a whole lot of plasma weapons, all of which are being carried by Tempestus Scions. In fact upwards of half the army can be held in deep strike reserve to drop down and unleash a barrage of plasma induced death anywhere on the table. The other half of the army is rocking two tank commanders to lay down heavy weapons and crack open armor. All while being supported by three squads of guardsmen to soak up damage and act as screens.

Kevin’s List
Kevin is bringing not one but two gork/morkanauts. He also made it a Dread Waaagh detachment, which gives him access to a slew of stratagems to make them even better. Boasting toughness 8 and a large wound pool, the ‘Nauts present a massive threat to both infantry and tanks. The other benifit to taking the specialist detachment is its AMAZING relic Da Souped-up Shokka, which is a strickly better shock attack gun.
