Gibraltar winning lists: Harlequins continue to laugh at the Competitive meta winning the top spot at all 3 Majors this weekend. Games Workshop has announced a Balance Dataslate to deal with the sheer inequity of this army but as of right now the math is simply in the Embrace and Caress of the Light Harlequins.
Gibraltar 1st Place Ruud Steenbakkers – Harlequins
Harlequin vs Slaanesh Deepseaweed
Congratulations to Ruud Steenbakkers for pulling first place at the Gibraltar GT even managing to do so without running all 9 of the max Voidweavers. Nope, only 8 Voidweavers in his list. Those extra points went into the Solitaire. The Thirsting for Darkness pivotal role is an auto advance 6” along with a 3” bonus to Pile In and Consolidate moves. Along with ignoring intervening models and terrain, the advances and charges can get the Solitaire in for quick assassination attempts. Such as murdering an opposing Shadowseer.
The Troupe squads took a variety of weapons. This allows for access to different stratagems, extra mortals and some hard hitting fusion.

Gibraltar 2nd Place Mani Cheema -Harlequins
You can’t blame Mani for spamming the same units as every other Light Harlequins player out there. Even the Warlord is pretty much set when a Troupe Master is taken, that’s the Warlord. One slightly different thing Mani did was to take the Fractal warlord trait on the Shadowseer. The Shadowseer is the force Multiplier of this army and needs to be protected and one way to do so is to not allow re-rolls when it gets in that danger close range. So well done in that regard.
The Death Jester with the Favor of Cegorach can get past that by not needing rerolls and simply taking the 6 to hit. Which also works against those Voidweavers to also plink at them a bit.

Gibraltar 3rd Place Dusty Justy – T’au
Gibraltar winning lists : Making the podium is always an accomplishment. Losing round 3 didn’t keep the Tau down as Dusty kept at it with the Farsight Enclaves. Farsight Enclaves may not allow for Ethereals but a third detachment isn’t needed to take a third Commander. So that’s always a perk. What’s unknown is the ruling for first turn teleport homers or allowing for the first turn use of positional relays. Arguably neither are allowed but it’s a little bit less clear in the case of the Teleport Homers. Regardless, the Exemplar of the Kau’yon makes good use of redeployment shenanigans.
There is limited screening but the throw away units like the Kroot Hounds can hop on an objective and prevent some actions from being done as well as help secure a landing zone as they can help prevent your opponent from moving forward. Think of the Death Company and other pregame moves where you must stay more than 9” away.
