The results are in for the Merry Slaaaneshmass 2021 Warhammer 40k are in! The Heretics of the Olympic Peninsula, held a Major in celebration of the season. Happy Wargaming was abound while keeping those pesky Green Skins out of the Top 10.
1st place Johnathan Starks – Drukhari
While Drukhari may have taken some hits in the Dataslate update, a silver lining could be found in some points drops. Thicc City comes back for another Major GT win. The combination of Dark Technomancers allows for hard hitting shooting, while Artist of the Flesh reduces damage of the hits they take. Of course, the Haemonculus can heal the Grotesques and Monsters but a twisted Reanimator can revive Wracks as well. As the Grotesques go down, they can be brought back with Cronos units fighting. Obviously a good tough list to fight against and the only list to go undefeated in this event.

Merry Slaaaneshmass 2nd place Hank Adams – Grey Knights
Grey Knights avoided nerfs in the Balance update. Hank Adams came back from an early defeat in game 2 versus Salamanders. 5 Dreadknights do as 5 Dreadknights do. The Greathammers have high consistent damage. The Rhino is a tough little Box to keep Interceptors safe until they disembark for an extra 3” of movement. Between them and the Deep striking Strike Squads, there is an easy 15 points for Purifying Ritual. With so many small squads and teleporters this army is jumping across the board for board control.

Merry Slaaaneshmass 3rd place Steve Trimble – Custodes
Steve brought the toughest of the Emperor’s own. A Shadowkeeper Telemon is the hardest unit in the game to kill. This comes down to the Emperor’s Auspice to prevent rerolls to hit as well as -1 strength with the Shadow Keep Stratagem. So yes the Telemon is tough but it still packs a punch. In this case actual fists are taken on the Dreadnoughts. Combined with Eternal Penitent, these Dreadnoughts have 6 attacks at Strength 16. Damage 4 isn’t quite as good against Thicc City Drukhari list. However, it was Black Templars that brought down Steves Custodes.
