Today’s batrep is a big one! We have two top tournament players going toe to toe in a death match of epic proportions. Its Nick’s GSC vs Matthew Allee’s Thousand Sons! Both players are using well tuned tournament lists, and have the skill to use them to their upmost lethality. So lets take a moment to look at their lists.
Nick’s List
Wow there is a lot of stuff going on here as this list has a total of three battalions and interesting mix of units. There are plenty of brood brother spread about that are great for holding objectives and acting as screens, and they an even kill some thing while they are at it. One of the real hammers in the list is the two squads of twisted helix Abberants. The extra point of strength can skyrocket their damage output and reliably wound even the toughest targets. Meanwhile the 4 armed emperor detachment is loaded with ways to make his charge after deep strike more reliable. Which is important for his hard hitting but rather squishy acolytes. The last detachment is mixed and is loaded with characters and mainly to add a lot of utility through access to different stratagems.

Matthew’s list
This list is very spicy, yet incredibly stable and competitive. First off, this army has a LOT of psykers. Even when compared to other Thousand sons list, this one seems to have quite a lot. As anyone can tell you having access to so many psykers is incredibly powerful, with Ahriman in particular standing out. also, a few of them are in terminator armor that allows them to deep strike where necessary as the battle unfolds. He also has a quite a lot of Rubric Marines, who’s durability and considerable firepower make them a bigger threat than what you might see at first glance. Plus each squad has a sorcerer, in case you need to deny all the psychic powers of your opponent, and then some. As an added hammer he is bring two massive blobs of tzangors. Who are both great at board control and smashing enemy units in the face.
