It’s Magic Monday here at Nights At The Game Table, and as always, we’ve teamed up with the incredible staff at Pat’s Games two bring you two hard-hitting decks in the hands of some of their expert players. This week, Joel and his Mono-Red Experimental Frenzy/Runaway Steam-Kin deck will be taking on Aren and his G/B Golgari Findbroker/Eldest Reborn Deck! Check out the full deck lists below to see how these Guilds of Ravnica powerhouses match up!
Joel – Experimental Frenzy/Runaway Steam-Kin
Joel is bringing a mono-red deck to the battle that is primarily built using the latest Guilds Of Ravnica cards, yet also boasts a number of the best cards from earlier series as well. Experimental Frenzy allows the player to quickly look at their deck and play cards from it, allowing for easier access to their best cards (as well as avoiding any potential effects from drawing from one’s hand.) In addition, it’s backed up by Runaway Steam-Kin, which can use a series of red spells to fuel its mana-ramping abilities. When combined with the destructive power of the venerable Goblin Chainwhirler, Joel can easily keep his opponents on their toes while building up the mana he needs for his most powerful cards.

Aren – Golgari Findbroker/The Eldest Reborn
Aren’s coming to the battle equipped with a G/B deck, built around some of the most popular Guilds Of Ravnica cards around! Leading the charge is Golgari Findbroker, which is not only a powerful fighter in its own right, but also allows for the easy return of permanents from the graveyard back to the player’s hand. When combined with the saga card The Eldest reborn, which allows for the frequent destruction of the opponent’s creatures, it will be difficult for Joel to keep his creatures on the field. When combined with the cheap, fast destruction of permanents offered by one of the best cards in Guilds of Ravnica, Assassin’s Trophy, Aren should have everything he needs to establish control of the field early!
